Filming in Area 1 at Playa Vista Campus

AREA 1

Students will use Mazevo to request an on-campus film permit. For information on how to submit your on campus permit, click here. Depending on your course level, your request will be routed to the appropriate Production Administration Team member and building proctor for approval.

TBD is the proctor for “SFTV Spaces” within the Playa Vista Campus. The Playa Vista Room Reservation Map outlines where you can and cannot film and who is the proctor for each space. You can also check the SFTV Location Directory in the Production Handbook to view thumbnails of our spaces. Whether you’re filming in a hallway, communal space or undesignated area in PVC, you’ll need to request a permit on Mazevo.

Here are some additional notes about filming in the PV Campus:

  • Access for individual spaces will be programmed on a student’s OneCard.
  • All furniture must be reset after filming. Take a picture of your space when you arrive.
  • All set dressing must be removed at the end of your shoot.
  • Only painter’s tape can be used on the walls.
  • All trash, leftover food or drink items must be placed in trash bins.
  • Be mindful of other students filming in terms of eyeline and sound.
  • Use of the Hair/Make-up and Wardrobe Rooms need to be reserved in Mazevo.
  • Consider where your cast/crew will take their meal. Common areas such as the Student Living Room or the Collaborative Space West need to be reserved in Mazevo.
