Drone Usage

Using drones in your film always requires a special permit. Use of aircraft (including drones), requires that students purchase their own drone coverage/insurance. You cannot use drones on Loyola Marymount University’s campus. For more information, see the Drone Policy here.

FEED YOUR CAST AND CREW PROPERLY SFTV students work on each others sets free of charge. Classmates will work diligently with the expectation that the director will provide all the thoughtful, nourishing and nutritious meals and snacks they can afford.

Film LA Permit Process

To apply for a FilmLA permit follow these steps on the FilmLA website. For SFTV permit support, contact the Student Production Office. FilmLA has undergone a change in permit acquisition, meaning that students will have a new process of applying for FilmLA permits.
