Are you interested in working on set? Come to Pitch Party!
Pitch Party is a networking event held each Fall and Spring semester where student filmmakers recruit crew members for their productions. This event is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. It is an opportunity for students to interact and learn about all the exciting opportunities to work on set. You’ll hear pitches from student filmmakers who are looking for volunteers for their junior/senior thesis or 600/650 level projects.
Here’s what to know if you plan to pitch your project: Students in Film and TV Production (PROD) and Writing and Producing for TV (WPTV) are eligible to submit pitches. You must have attended the Production Scheduling Lottery Meeting and booked your shoot week before you sign up to pitch. You must be enrolled in PROD 390, 490, 600, 650 and SCWR 680 to be eligible to pitch. NO EXTERNAL PASSION PROJECTS may be pitched.
You will have 1.5 minutes to pitch, and you must submit your pitch to THIS FORM by 11:59PM on September 8th, 2026, the Tuesday before. If we do not receive a submission from you, you will not be allowed to pitch your project. The form is populated into a directory that is password-protected; email sftvspo@lmu.edu for the password and with any additional questions.
