ON CAMPUS PERMITS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mazevo<\/a> is LMU\u2019s new online system that SFTV will use for on campus film permitting.  You will select the SFTV Student Filming workflow. Please note that at this time, students cannot request a permit to hold auditions on campus. For information on how to submit your on campus permit read below. You can also watch our Loom Video Tutorials here<\/a> for more information on submitting permits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students who wish to film on the LMU campus must apply for a campus filming permit through Mazevo<\/a>. On campus permits take a minimum of FIVE (5) business days, per permit, for review and approval. Filming on the LMU campus must take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. \u2013 11:59 p.m. Tail lights at 11:30 p.m. Tail lights refers to the time when the whole crew is expected to be packed up and either going home for the day or leaving for another location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a student needs to permit multiple on campus locations, it is recommended that they apply for all of them at once. Subsequently re-initiating the permit process can lead to delays and permits may not be approved in time for production. Courtesy of the Student Production Office, the Location Directory<\/a> contains pictures and information about all of the available on campus locations. To Submit your On Campus Permit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1). Login to Mazevo- mymazevo.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2). Dashboard will look like this<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3). Click \u201cAdd New Request\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4). Complete part 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a). Naming: \u201cProduction#\u201d-\u201ccourse#\u201d-\u201clast name of filmmaker\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When requesting a room for a rehearsal, add “Rehearsal” at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This way, we assigned approvers can have a better understanding of your request. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

e.g. \u201cSFTV1234\u201d-\u201c490\u201d-\u201cTrudeau\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Or “SFTV5574” – “600” -“Meeker” – “rehearsal”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that it has to be the name of the primary filmmaker<\/strong>, not the person making the booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b). Enter Event Type: Student Film Permit<\/p>\n\n\n\n

c). Enter Organization: SFTV Film Permits<\/p>\n\n\n\n

d). Enter Number Of People: The total number  of people expected at your event (headcount)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5). Enter Times and Date(s): You can only request a date that is 5 or more days in advance<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

6). Type in which building you are looking for<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a). You can use the SFTV Location Directory<\/a> to find out what Building and Room to select. There you\u2019ll find a picture of the location, name of the space and the building where it is located. Mazevo lists ALL university spaces but not all of these spaces are available for filming. SFTV students can only film in locations that are listed in the Location Directory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b). Some locations may be listed under \u201cOutdoor Space\u201d or \u201cSFTV Filming.\u201d Use “SFTV Filming” when requesting to film in your dorm, hallways, restrooms, or other indeterminate spaces. Look for the heading that best fits your location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7). If you do not see your room on the first tab, \u201cAvailable Rooms,\u201d please check the second tab, \u201cUnavailable Rooms\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a). There you will see why each room is not available for you (someone else already has it reserved, your headcount is either too large or too small based on the minimum and maximum capacities of each individual room).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b). Once you have selected your location (Where), Mazevo will not<\/strong> allow you to go back to make changes to the date and time. Don\u2019t Worry!  You will be able to make changes after you submit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8). Pick your service provider – PAT will add any additional resources as needed. <\/strong>Students can skip this section except for the two resources below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a). SFTV-Outdoor Space Requested. Select this option whenever you\u2019re filming outdoors on the Westchester Campus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s not necessary to Add Notes. By checking this resource, LMU Facilities is alerted to filming outdoors that they need to approve. However, if you have specific information to relay, please add the information in the Notes Section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b). Filming in a parking lot. Select Parking under Service Provider. If you require a specific space, add this information in the notes section and upload a map that designates the area\/spaces you are requesting. SFTV students do not need to use or complete the parking form provided in this section. This form is used by departments who are being charged for parking services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9). Answer all the questions (You will not be able to submit the request until all the questions are answered. Do not leave the fill in boxes blank. Please enter N\/A)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

a). There are SFTV\u2019s permit questions and Conference and Events questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10). You can change or cancel your event (if it is 5 or more days before your event)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a). Click change event<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b). Or Click on the date<\/p>\n\n\n\n

c). Or click on the orange arrow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

11). You should receive a confirmation email when your permit is approved. CES does the last approval and will either confirm the request or deny the request based off if your production administrator has approved your location request – then the student and the will get the email saying the request was confirmed or denied.  “SFTV confirmation” is exactly the same as “confirmed”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
