{"id":2735,"date":"2021-07-28T17:00:38","date_gmt":"2021-07-29T00:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sftvproductionhandbook.lmu.build\/?p=2735"},"modified":"2026-02-27T12:39:16","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T20:39:16","slug":"production-scheduling-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sftvproductionhandbook.lmu.build\/index.php\/2021\/07\/28\/production-scheduling-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Production Scheduling Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><span style=\"color:#ab0c2f\" class=\"tadv-color\">Choosing your production weekend<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each semester, students producing an Intermediate or Advanced project (PROD 390,392, 490, 492, 550, 600, 650, SCRW 680) meet with SFTV staff at the <strong>Production Scheduling Meeting<\/strong> to create an initial master schedule for the upcoming production season<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the Production Scheduling Meeting, students draw a random number and inform SFTV staff of their prospective production weekend, camera choices, and stage requests. These requests are non-binding and subject to Production Administration Approval, <a href=\"https:\/\/sftvproductionhandbook.lmu.build\/index.php\/2021\/05\/17\/camera-lottery\/\">Camera lottery<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sftvproductionhandbook.lmu.build\/index.php\/2021\/05\/17\/camera-lottery\/\">priority<\/a>, and stage availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Production Scheduling Meeting <strong>is not a lottery<\/strong> <strong>or a reservation<\/strong>. Students must still participate in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sftvproductionhandbook.lmu.build\/index.php\/2021\/05\/17\/camera-lottery\/\">camera <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/sftvproductionhandbook.lmu.build\/index.php\/2021\/05\/19\/lighting-grip-lottery\/\">L&amp;G lotteries<\/a> and formally apply to reserve a stage. The purpose of the meeting is to create a schedule that allows a sustainable number of productions each week so all students have fair access to crew and equipment.
