The Script Supervisor helps ensure this continuity by recording every detail of every take of every scene. They take notes for the Director and Editor. They are the critical link between the set and the editing room.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color:#ab0c2f\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>WHAT A SCRIPT SUPERVISOR DOES:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"line-height:1\"><strong>Pre-production<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Prepares\u00a0Breakdowns\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Times\u00a0the\u00a0script\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"line-height:1\"><strong>Production<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Assigns scene numbers for\u00a0slating\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Makes a \u201clined\u201d script (vertical lines indicating which takes cover which part of the script)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Makes detailed notes of each\u00a0take\u00a0and ensures continuity between takes\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Checks and ensures all scenes have been shot and covered\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Provides the Assistant Director with an \u201cEnd of Day\u201d\u00a0report\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color:#ab0c2f\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>WHERE TO FIND A SCRIPT SUPERVISOR&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span style=\"color:#000000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">You might be able to enlist a fellow student to work as the Script Supervisor. The people enrolled in these workshops want to work as professionals, but they need some practical experience first.
